Indian found dead on construction site in Bahrain

Manama: An Indian man was found dead in an under-construction building in Bahrain’s capital Manama.

Police found the body of Jam Rajeesh, 40, hanging at the site in Adliya on Saturday after local residents complained of a foul smell, the Gulf-Daily News reported on Sunday.

Police suspect that Rajeesh committed suicide last week.

An investigation is on to ascertain the exact cause of death, police said.

Three other expatriates also ended their lives in the country in the past week.

At least 26 people, mainly low-income Asian workers, reportedly committed suicide last year, the report stated.
